Bare Case #1
George Dobbs was a speaker at Pacificon this year and passed around a project
in a neat little case that I absolutely was astounded as to the quality. I
asked George where he got it and he said that he picked it up from a supplier
from Wales who was no longer in business. George let me borrow the case, and
I took it to the guy who built the BLT Cases for us. He was able to reproduce
the case and the picture above show the result. It is made from .050 Aluminum,
and is 2.375" wide x 1.30" high x 3.10" deep outside measurements. Inside
measurements are: 2.15" wide x 1.20" high x 2.90" deep. The case is shipped
with 2 screws as shown. Construction details are shown in the photos below.
There is no play on the panels, they are firm. This is because of the tight
tolerances in the corner bends as shown in the last photo.
